TECSUP, el primer instituto superior tecnológico del Perú licenciado por MINEDU, será sede del evento científico más importante del país: el XXVII congreso internacional de ingeniería eléctrica, electrónica y computación - INTERCON 2020 que se desarrollará de forma virtual del 3 al 5 de setiembre próximo.
Este importante logro de Tecsup, se da tras haber sido seleccionado por el reconocido Instituto de Ingeniería Eléctrica y Electrónica - IEEE sección Perú, convirtiéndose así en el primer instituto superior a nivel nacional en ser sede del INTERCON 2020; evento que reunirá investigadores, profesionales, estudiantes y emprendedores que facilitarán el acercamiento, identificación y compromiso en el desarrollo de las tecnologías.
Entre las actividades que ofrecerá INTERCON 2020 figuran propuestas tecnológicas de las distintas sociedades técnicas del IEEE, espacios de networking, más de 100 ponencias, conferencias magistrales, mesas redondas, ferias tecnológicas, workshops y exposición de papers y capstone projects, destacando entre ellas la presentación de 79 artículos científicos originales.
De esta forma, Tecsup se convierte en coorganizador de un evento mundial líder en educación tecnológica, y reafirma su compromiso con el desarrollo del país formando profesionales globalmente competitivos, éticos e innovadores en el campo de la tecnología. Cabe resaltar que la IEEE es la más grande organización profesional del mundo, con más de 400 mil miembros y más de 130 años de existencia, que fomenta la innovación y el avance de la tecnología en beneficio de la humanidad. Por su parte la Sección Perú del IEEE, es la entidad del IEEE en Perú, con más de 50 años, más de 2000 miembros y una comunidad de 15,000 profesionales y estudiantes en ingeniería, ciencia, tecnología y educación.
